Cosmetic Ingredients and Complexes Glossary

Rich in essential ions like Zinc and Copper, marine natural ingredients perfectly enhance skincare formulations, improving cross-linking of dermal fibers, providing optimal hydration, and nourishing with vital elements. In addition, some algae contain high concentrations of carrageenans sulfured oligosaccharides that are similar to hyaluronic acid or other GAGs.

Carrageenans improve the water-binding ability of the skin, revealing a supple, smooth, and youthful surface. These beneficial oligosaccharides also stimulate the production of HA, providing volume, density, and elasticity.

Almost every marine extract is an excellent source of antioxidants, protecting cell membranes and genetic material from harmful influences like UV-induced damage or oxidative stress. These ingredients are youth elixirs made to preserve natural beauty, expose smooth surface, and healthy appearance.

Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract

Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract is a slightly opalescent, light amber, viscous liquid, bio-engineered from a selected strain of red marine algae known under the trade name apt®.

Alaria esculenta extract

Algae Extract

Contains micro-nutrients such as iron, manganese, zinc, magnesium, copper.

Algogen

Algogen is a natural, film-forming polymer derived from marine algae and native fish collagen. It is an opalescent, viscous liquid with anionic nature.

Antarcticine® marine ingredient SA is a classic marine glycoprotein extracted from Pseudoalteromonas Antarctica combined with classic BHA (beta-hydroxy acid) salicylic acid.

Aqua Shuttle

Aqua Shuttle is a marine liposomal complex that hydrates skin with outstanding results. It results from advanced encapsulation and the technology of combined molecular covers and can be applied to already proven efficacious active ingredients.

Ascophyllum Nodosum Extract

Ascophyllum nodosum (Eggwrack) extract is a pure water-soluble powder rich in bioactive marine polysaccharides known as fucoidans. The extract can contain more than 80% fucoidan. Usually, Ascophyllum nodosum extract is produced using a pure aqueous extraction procedure.

Bacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract

Days continue to have 24 hours, but most people have the same feeling that they are insufficient to carry out all daily tasks, often having to deprive themselves of rest and leisure, such as physical activity.

BIOPLASMA™ FA

Hyanify™

Hyanify™ (HyaMar) is a booster of the skin‘s hyaluronic − an important matrix substance whose imbalance leads to dehydration of age and volume loss.

Hydranov-P

Hydranov-P is a high-tech concentrate extracted from red algae called Furcellaria lumbricalis, that stimulates the synthesis of hyaluronic acid. It replenishes the moisture depots of your skin and restructures each layer of the epidermis.

Hydrolyzed Corallina Officinalis Extract

A great source of essential Zinc and Copper minerals, antioxidants (polysaccharides, galactose, and xylose), and MAAs (mycosporine-like amino acids, working as "a sunscreen"). Hydrolyzed Corallina Officinalis Extract is a product of the aqueous extraction of the whole algae.

Kappaphycus alvarezii extract

Kappaphycus alvarezii extract is rich in carrageenans - natural linear sulfated polysaccharides, with excellent gel-forming and film-forming (after application) properties. Elkhorn sea moss extract, it smooths fine lines, furrows, and deep wrinkles, revealing lifted, fine, and supple surfaces.

Kelp seaweed extract

Kelp seaweed has a revitalizing and remineralizing mission made possible by its concentrated and extensive range of proteins, trace elements, and vitamins.

Besides high calcium and magnesium contents, Phymatolithon calcareum extract is rich in minerals like iron, manganese, boron, nickel, copper, and zinc, which have an essential role in skin moisturization and fiber cross-linking.

Lithothamnion Calcareum Powder

Lithothamnion Calcareum is a red seaweed known as Phymatolithon Calcareum or simply Pallas. The main difference between Pallas and other algae is the appearance of calcium and magnesium carbonates in the cell membranes, which act as a skeleton for the seaweed.

LPD Lip Plumpler

LPD Lip Plumpler is a liposomal complex that entraps red algae oil inside a penetrating liposome to stimulate the nourishing action of the adipocytes. This increases lip volume and gives the lips a more attractive fullness, density, and plumpness.

Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract
